We were selling a property that we knew would face a couple of immediate challenge in the market. Like many communities, ours was in the process of replacing an older housing stock with very high end properties. The house we were selling was right in the middle. That is, sufficiently expanded and updated to be out of reach for many and yet, not new enough or large enough to attract upscale buyers. In addition the house had a swimming pool which further narrowed potential buyers particularly in our part of the country.
