- Steve helped me buy a home
Our experience with Steve exceeded our expectations. He helped us find the right home that fit our family's needs. Steve helped us navigate the process over the course of several months and take the stress out of finding a great home in a great neighborhood.
- Steve and I connected, but did no business
I am a disabled Veteran that was looking for a new home for my wife, two kids, and my elderly Mother to live in. After not being able to find the home we wanted, we decided to build. We engaged Steven on a land purchase for some property in Mableton, Georgia. From the very beginning, he was rude, unprofessional, and lacked follow up, but we continued in the deal because we really wanted the property. Throughout the process, however, Steven continued to ask us for information that was not relevant to the deal. This included: who were we using to conduct the survey, a copy of the completed survey, who was the builder, along with contact information for these individuals. In addition, Steven and the Seller continued to call and harass our Financer to make sure our funding was valid. In addition to these unusual actions, Steven refused to use the standard GAR form for contracts and insisted that we use a hand written contract that his Seller developed. There are numerous other actions that Steven took which resulted in this deal not going through, but his ineptitude and indifference could all be summarized using his EXACT words while we were under contract, "I haven't talked to my Seller in weeks". As a result of Steven's inability to do even a competent job in this deal, my family and I are out of over $5,000 in pre-construction fees. I understand that $5,000 may not be a lot of money to Steven, but as a disabled veteran on fixed income, it is a sizeable amount of money to lose. To add insult to injury, Steven initiated an action to keep our earnest money even after stating "the seller is not motivated to sell this property". I encourage you to find an agent who has integrity, is responsive, and conducts themselves in a professional matter---because you wont find ANY of those attributes in Steven Parker.
