I'm often asked, "How long have you lived in El Dorado County?" and the simple answer is since June of 1997. The not so simple answer evokes fond memories of four summers (1972-1976) when, as a youngster, I helped my father build spec homes in the Sly Park Area of Pollock Pines. My father's upbringing on a farm instilled a remarkable work ethic in him and as a high school English teacher, he chose to spend his summers challenging us both and creating not only homes, but a sense of self worth while instilling in me a stong work ethic and an affinity with nature and the endless beatuty of El Dorado County. In 1988 I purchased 40 acres and a cabin in the Georgetown area which I renovated and throughly enjoyed through 2001. The final move to El Dorado County was more of a return for me.
