- Terri listed and sold my home
I could write a book on how unethical and dishonest Terri is but I will sum it up as best as I can. First, she had us leave our doors unlocked and leave our house so an out of state, unlicensed agent could view it alone. When we told her we would like for her to be there because we weren’t comfortable with it, she told us she was busy, she was never available for any appointments! She even used outdated pictures for our listing so she didn’t have to come get new! She wouldn’t do any open houses or brokers opens. And yes, we asked. We were 5 days away from firing her when we got an offer. The whole process was a nightmare! She always put her best interest ahead of ours. Instead of fighting for us, on several occasions she told us to “give them what they want” when we weren’t comfortable with it. For example: Terri told us we weren’t able to add a 48 hour addendum to our contingency offer. I couldn’t understand why so I consulted with several other licensed agents in the state and confirmed that this was a lie. Unfortunately for us, she knew how difficult the buyers were and didn’t want to miss out on a large pay day. Lastly, going through the selling process with Terri and an opposing agent, I realized there were so many things she had skipped that would have protected us when we purchased the house through her. Things like no signatures on a final repair request, not attending ANY buyers appointments or allowing us a final walk through. Terri had also lied to us about a fire suppression system being in working order when we bought the house. It turns out it had been shut off the entire time we owned it. We told her we were unwilling to pay for something we were told was taken care of when we bought the house and she still tried charging us for it at closing, along with several other charges. Unfortunately in life, you live and you learn. I would not recommend Terri to anyone!
