Wendy Thrane has been my realtor for the past 8 years. We were neighbors first and i knew she was a realtor so i decided to go with her. She went above and beyond all expectations. Wendy is very dedicated realtor and never gives up. We just closed on our home this month, that took 1 year to get Chase to approve the short sale and Wendy always kept us updated through the whole process. She does everything to get your property sold or to find you what your looking for. She works long hours to make sure all your real estate needs are met. We highly recommend Wendy Thrane! We were first-time homebuyers from the Washington, DC area and were looking to buy a long-term vacation house in the Shenandoah Valley. Wendy was great to work with during every stage of the process. When she started working with us, she set up a profile that emailed us houses that met our criteria as soon as they came on the market. When there were two or three houses we wanted to see, Wendy set up appointments for us all in one day on the weekend, which was very helpful since we were driving 1-2 hours to see them. She was very knowledgeable about the local housing market and was happy to give us her advice or opinion when we asked. We also appreciated that she was very respectful of our opinions when we were house-hunting and never pushed us in one direction or another. When we decided to make an offer, Wendy helped us get it done within a day. She was easy to work with through email and fax to take care of all the necessary paperwork when we were in DC and she was in Front Royal. She did a great job of walking us through every step of the home buying process, from the home inspection to closing. She also helped make sure we stayed on track with our mortgage and title companies. We had some unexpected bumps on closing day with our sellers, but Wendy handled them gracefully and made sure everything necessary got done that day. We had always heard the home buying process was stressful, but Wendy made it enjoyable and easy. She was a great partner to have in the process and helped us buy a home that we will love for years! We have been in touch with Wendy since we began thinking about selling our house three years ago. We interviewed three realtors at the time and she was the only one that was honest with us about our chances of selling at the price that we needed to. Since then, we sought her advice when purchasing the lot adjacent to our house. It wasn't much money and her commission would have been small, but she made us feel like we were a priority. We turned to her again when we were finally ready to sell our house and buy a new home. All in all, the process, especially trying to have both sales happen at the same time, can be daunting and arduous. Wendy was so prompt with returning calls, e-mails, and texts. She really helped us with negotiations and knew when to ask for more. Her contacts were always extremely knowledgeable (home inspector, radon remediation company, septic guys, etc) and had good working relationships with her that made each step easier. The house that we sold ran into several snags with the home inspection as well as with the government loans that the buyers were using, but Wendy helped resolve every issue as it arose. I recommend her to anyone I know when they are seeking a realtor. Wendy loves helping people, and her excitement and enjoyment shows through in the personal care that she gives each client.
