In the late 1960's, my parents purchased property on Hilton Head Island and later built the second oceanfront home in Port Royal Plantation. We made the move to the lowcountry in 1976, where I graduated from high school from the same school where my teenage daughter attends today. I witnessed as Hilton Head Island evolved, and lord knows I did too. But some things never change, and I still carry the same southern accent and love for the lowcountry that I cultivated during my youth. After graduating from USC with a degree in business and spending a few years "discovering the world" in New York and Atlanta, my old home came calling and I returned to carve out a career in real estate. It wasn't easy then, and it isn't easy now, but I love my clients and the challenges that come with buying and selling in today's market. And at the end of the day, when I get to put my feet up by the marsh and watch the sun go down over the May River, I'm reminded of why I came back. Aside from having my daughter, I think it was the best decision I ever made.
