Cari & Britt Group
Vista Sotheby's International Realty
About Cari & Britt

#1 Top Producing Team for Vista Sotheby's International Realty for 2020. South Bay-based, top real estate agents Cari Corbalis & Britt Austin have turned the art of home-selling and home-buying into a storied career. Working out of conveniently-located Redondo Beach offices, realtors Cari Corbalis & Britt Austin have made a name for themselves throughout the South Bay by providing people who want to buy or sell a home on the Palos Verdes Peninsula and the coastal cities of Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach and Hermosa Beach a more sophisticated approach and a more reliable process. You’ll see these plucky and personable two all over the neighborhood, enjoying the area’s best eateries while explaining the finer points of an offer to their sellers or as they escort eager buyers to their soon-to-be favorite new haunts. More results. Less drama, mystery & suspense. Cari’s the Mom, your guardian and protector. Britt’s the business-minded, tech-savvy daughter. But this family adventure in high-end real estate all began back in the 80’s when Cari happened to take a course on real estate law. Interested by the topic and intrigued at the prospect of turning her love of luxury homes into a full-fledged career, Cari soon began out-selling many of the more senior agents. As her desire to command top prices for her sellers grew, she became a licensed home stager, sharing this body of knowledge so clients could increase home value by mastering the aesthetics and the psychology of the sale. Daughter Britt, the multi-tasking, ambitious marketing grad, grew up inspired by her mother’s unique ability to quickly consummate deals and bring joy to her clients’ lives. Nine years ago, fueled by the same desire to provide a smoother, easier client experience, Britt chose to partner up with Cari. Thanks to both nature and nurture, Britt has delivered tens of millions dollars in home sales. Her success is due to a similar passion for providing both sellers and buyers a more refined, more high-end real estate experience. Additionally, she’s a beautiful complement to Cari’s core talents, possessing greater marketing and social media savvy, along with the managerial ability to recruit, lead and supervise a team of strategic partners. By paying closer attention to the needs of clients and the fluctuations in the market, the two soon found the calmer, more enjoyable experience they delivered was something both sellers and buyers not only valued but celebrated. Today, they stand as two of the area’s most well-respected and high-performing real estate agents. Together, they share in a belief that enduring success in the real estate industry will always be more about people than it is about property. Now, if only every mother and daughter got along this famously…

About Lauren

Getting to the heart of issues and finding resolutions is one of Lauren’s trademark styles. Her clients say she is a “jewel”, “tenacious, helpful, smart and creative”, “focused”, “brilliant negotiator, and that the "biggest differentiating factor between Lauren and other brokers is her ability to get things done.” Hard work and a J.D. from Loyola Law School certainly put her in the top 1%. Maybe it’s magic. But, it’s not. What puts Lauren in the top 1% of the top 1% is her consistent hard work, authenticity, and integrity. Although she does extremely high volume, she is accessible to her clients and is normally the one who reaches out first, making her clients feel like they are the top 1% of the top 1%. Lauren is extremely well-versed in the contractual elements of the transactions and has a giant network of support to make things happen where others fall short. Lauren is on the boards of several charities and is committed to making a difference whenever and wherever she can. She has spoken and numerous top producer panels and given motivational speeches to large groups of realtors and to those considering getting into the profession. She loves hot yoga, running, and meditation. Spending time with her two teenagers brings joy and excitement to her life.

Phillip Nunez
eXp Realty of California
About Phillip

I never stopped moving, it seemed like I could never slow down. When it was time for me to take matters into my own hands, I made a decision. I moved around a lot growing up, often moving several times in the same year. My parents divorced when I was very young, before I can even remember. I was constantly shuffling back and forth between the two of them, until I was around six years old. They had a disagreement, and my mom and I went to her native country of Guatemala. I had never learned Spanish, growing up in California my whole life. Suddenly, I was transplanted in this entirely new place, a new language, new culture. It was overwhelming and it was not long before my mom had to go back to the United States, to go back to work. Then, I was left with family members for the next several years. Again, I was shuffled around several times a year from place to place, starting over in a new family member’s home. I was lucky during those years that each home was kind towards me and treated me well, but I could not help feeling adrift with the lack of stability. Around three years after I first arrived, my parents worked through their disagreement and I still remember seeing my dad in the parking lot after school that day. I ran to him, tears streaming down my face and the both of us stood there and cried as we hugged. I had missed both of my parents so much, and I could finally go home. We went back to the U.S., but we did not stop moving. My father was moving up in his life professionally and continued to upgrade our homes as well. Eventually, I ended up in San Fernando Valley with my mom for the last two years of high school and decided I wanted to stop packing up my life and moving. I stayed nearby to go to college, but it was not a good fit for me. After a couple years, I started working as a Physical Education teacher in a local school where I had been a mentor. I loved that job, getting to see all the kids every day and do something athletic, which I have always enjoyed, it was wonderful. But I soon realized it was not where my future lied. I knew I needed to do something else, but as I tried out classes at the local college and searched, I just could not figure it out. My dad and I reconnected, and I went to stay with him, quitting my teaching job and focusing on finding that next chapter in my life. He had been working on some real estate investments and I went with him to check out the properties. Through this, I connected with a local real estate broker who asked why I was not in real estate. I had actually already taken the necessary classes at the time; the subject had always interested me. When I was very young, I used to go with my mom on days off school when she worked cleaning the homes of others. Some of the homes I saw were in the wealthiest parts of California and I saw then the potential real estate could hold for others reaching their dreams. It was in the back of my mind throughout the years as I collected more and more knowledge about it. But I never thought to jump into it. I was finally convinced and got my license in 2003, going into it full time. I have been practicing ever since and have finally found that stability I was always looking for. My wife, Myriam, and I have been living in the same area since our oldest daughter was only a couple years old. We have raised our family here in the South Bay area, near our family and in a community we love. Family is the most important thing to me, providing that stability for my two daughters has been a blessing. And it is something I want to continue to share, helping others reach their dreams and find stability through real estate. Buying a house is more than the structure, it is the place you are going to live with your family. Growing up, I moved a lot and quickly learned what makes a home, and how important it is to have stability. I have 17+ years of experience as a licensed REALTOR® and have seen the market through some wild times. This has given me the ability to help you break down the complicated process of real estate into manageable chunks, to avoid overwhelm and keep the process as stress-free as possible. I will prepare you for every outcome so that you always know what to expect. I am focused on helping you achieve your dreams through real estate, whatever those look like. That means you have my undivided attention and I will listen to your needs and communicate them clearly throughout the process. After the sale is over, I will still be around as a resource to you, continuing to be your REALTOR® for life.
