As a kid, the family vacations were almost always in Kansas City, where we enjoyed Chiefs and Royals games, Worlds of Fun, and all of the other activities that are only available in a bigger city. At the age of 18, I began a career at the Hallmark Cards factory in Topeka, KS where I worked for 4 years. When I turned 21, I attended a real estate investing seminar and immediately decided to buy rental properties, and sell real estate on the side. The next year, I transferred to Hallmark's headquarters in downtown Kansas City. I realized that my career opportunities would be much greater with Hallmark and my real estate business could also be much better in my favorite vacation city. My sideline business grew steadily through the years and after 20 years I decided to devote myself to selling real estate full time. I have to laugh when I think about how much easier it is selling real estate today than it was back in 1982, when interest rates were 18%. I have three children, Brooke, Brady and Blake. I also have two adorable grandsons, Max (5), Briggs (3) and a granddaughter, Finley (1). My favorite activities involve spending time with my grandkids and kids. I am also a huge Chiefs fan! As a "Red Coater" for the team, I volunteer by working at various Chiefs events and charitable causes in the community. I never miss a Chiefs home game and take in at least one road game per year. I still have a huge passion for helping people realize their home buying and selling dreams.
