  • Austin listed, but didn't sell, my home

My life was so much better before Austin Schmidt and Lux Builders entered it. This guy left my wife and I homeless for months- Our house was due for completion in October 2018. Builder Austin Schmidt provided 60 day notice in December and we still haven't received CO, a telephone call, an email, or a text (it’s june 18th, 2019). Today we ripped up the contract and ran!

    • Austin never responded to my request

Austin is showing as the registered owner of a property that has blighted our community for years. Currently functioning as a needle-infested homeless encampment of an abandon car wash, covered in graffiti and feces. He lives a mere 2.8 miles down the street in a meticulously maintained mansion, impossible to believe he could be unaware or unable to remediate. He negligently awaits his profits while our community continues to pay the price of his blight. Neighbors have attempted to purchase the property but he will not sell. Development plans remain on hold with no hopes of re-enlivening. Currently the property is not boarded up, not fenced in, totally accessible and wide open. It is a space for drug use, and drug use alone. Our neighbors who are experiencing homelessness sleep in cleaner areas than this. We are sorry that your investment has become burdensome and costly to upkeep, but it is still your responsibility to do so. Austin will make his profits equally, independent on if he does his due diligence to our community or not, while we continue to carry his burden of the blighted investment. I am embarrassed and ashamed for him!
