I currently need to find someone that is interested in learning the real estate business so that person can help me in evaluating properties here in Connecticut. Call me. GETTING REAL ESTATE AGENTS PAID 4 TIMES ON 1 LISTING ► We buy, renovate and resell properties throughout Connecticut. Whenever we buy a home, we allow the listing agent to represent us. This means they get paid 2 commissions on the front end: the listing side and selling side. After we buy and renovate the property, we relist it on the MLS with the same agent that brought us the deal. This means they get paid a 3rd commission for the listing side on the back end sale of the renovated property with a possibility of being paid a 4th commission if they find the buyer for the listing of the renovated property.

      overall experience wasn't bad. However once I moved into the house I realized all of the problems that I had. This realtor was also the flipper of this house. He definitely did not care how the house came out. He had the oil tank repainted and a hole in it on the bottom was caked in putty. They tried to put a quick fix on it and in return I had to purchase a new oil tank 6 months after I bought the house. His contractor had the wrong heating pipes installed into the house so therefor the heat was not even in the house at all. The retaining wall was crumbling and he would not fix it, instead he had once of his friends who is an engineer write up a later to state the wall was fine when it actually was not and ended up falling apart that winter. This house had many many problems that Brian did not address and just wanted to make a quick buck. I thank him for letting me learn to not buy a flipped house and this also taught me to not refer him to anyone!
