  • Carol and I connected, but did no business

I recently referred this woman to my personal clients who were interested in viewing some properties in the Sonoma area. I know of some beautiful options available in the area that she has listed that would be perfectly suited for this couple. Well let's just put this very simply.... this woman should NOT be in sales. Nice properties, horrendous customer service. Her properties have been up for sale for quite some time because she has such a pretentious and catty personality. I was completely embarrassed for referring them to her after hearing feedback from my clients on how she treated them. Upon their arrival she noticeably judged their appearance. She was EXTREMELY condescending about their "budget" of $1.8M and basically brushed them off entirely to help a couple that walked in shortly after them. Did I mention my clients are hispanic and the couple that walked in was white? They were greeted with a very different approach, and she didn't hesitate to help them. Apparently she has better things to worry about than a multi-million dollar sale. Let's face it, shopping for a home should be exciting and fun, there is nothing fun about feeling inadequate when you are working with millions. Little did she know, my clients were also looking to SELL their current properties in Napa and Carmel. Lesson to learn Carol, don't judge a book by its cover. Hispanic couples also invest in real estate.
