Cathy Youngling

Cathy knows Marin, and Marin knows Cathy. I don't think we met a single seller's realtor during our extensive house hunt who didn't know her and have positive things to say about her.

If you are looking for a broker we would strongly recommend Cathy Youngling, for a number of strong personal reasons (which is really the only way you can make this decision).1: She isn?t like most of the plastic, artificial, people who inevitably act as brokers in Marin. She?s in the service, not the ego business.2: We had very specific requirements for what we were looking for. In fact we looked for over two years at what was out there as we weren?t in a hurry etc. Throughout our slow and choosy search, Cathy continued to bring us places that were relevant and interesting. She really knows the area and value of houses within the market (often before they come onto the market).3: When we finally found our current house, Cathy was great at discussing our strategy, process and approach ? which was both successful and good value.4: Throughout the buying process, I was very busy. Cathy managed much of the legwork for us, really keeping the paperwork down to a minimum and working around our schedules ? not hers!5: Finally ? Cathy demonstrated great initiative. At one point, early in the process we had seen a house that we liked, but had been taken off the market, before we had even talked to Cathy. After mentioning this, Cathy decided to go and talk to them about it. Although ultimately, they chose not to sell it, Cathy?s energy and perseverance was great. Obviously you will pick the broker that?s right for you, but Cathy was fantastic for us and we would strongly recommend her and will definitely work with her next time we look to move!

From start to finish, Cathy was great. She knows the market and REALLY listened to us. She was very responsive to our requests (and let me tell you, there were a lot of 'em). I always felt that her advice was well thought out and coming from the perspective of our best interests.

Cathy was instrumental in helping us purchase our first home, she talked us thru all the steps. Her ability to negotiate with the Bank was amazing, our friends were telling us that the bank would give us nothing. With Cathys help we talk the bank down 2% of the sale price, in Southern Marin thats amazing!!!

I almost couldn't believe what I was reading, since so very often it felt like the whole thing was just going to be a discouraging impossibility because of the countless, very unexpected difficulties we encountered! This is a very humble response that doesn't begin to give you the credit you deserve, yet it also says it all(!) because that attitude and that laser-like focus WAS what it took to get through the awful things you had to work through to help me as you have and to succeed! I want to thank you profusely for being the most amazing agent I could EVER have hoped for (or imagined was even OUT THERE!) and to mention some qualities that your modesty left out - your unbelievable determination, your loyalty, your "Energizer bunny variety" stick-to-it-ive-ness, your truly admirable maturity and ability to handle even the most irritating, frustrating situations. How you managed to keep ME calm when I was only hearing about what was happening, not the one who had to deal with all those things and overcome one unfathomable, seemingly un-solvable problem after another. I could never thank you enough, as there are no words for all you've done for me during EASILY one of the hardest times of my life. It makes me want to cry. You are truly an exceptional broker and such a special person. I feel so much gratitude and admiration for you, I could never express it adequately. I know your fan club must spread wide and far and you can bet I'm in it!"

Today marks one week of being in our new home here on Stone Drive in Novato. I cannot imagine having another realtor to help us find our new home other than Cathy. She is amazing! There are dynamics between a couple when looking for a home and your realtor needs to be more than just someone who can find you a great house, they need to be someone who can listen to what both of you want and not only do that but show you many homes that would fit both of you. It's a fine dance that Cathy was able to excel at and help Tom and I find a home that we will love for many years to come. She was always in constant contact with us throughout the whole process. She went above and beyond. She helped keep the sane when things got crazy. She always looked on the bright side which is a wonderful trait to have. Cathy words cannot express how much we appreciate everything that you have done for us both! We have also made a new friend in you. I can't recommend her enough. We are so lucky to have found her.
