  • Debra listed, but didn't sell, my home

      We recently had our home listed with Debra Callahan, however, we cancelled our listing agreement with her after 4 months. This was due to what I felt was poor communication and unethical request for fees that were clearly NOT part of our signed listing agreement. Upon asking to cancel our agreement due to conflict of personalities and lack of communication, Debra stated "she would consider canceling if we reimbursed her $1,000 for her marketing expenses." This was not part of our contract,and it was never stated we are expected to pay any marketing fees. Because it was not in the contract, we did not pay and were not required to do so. We tried working with her for another month, but after these issues, we were not able to rebuild our trust in her and therefore proceeded to cancel the agreement. I'm putting this out there so that anyone looking to buy/sell with this agent is aware of our personal experience and can use this information to make sure they don't have the same issues.

    • Debra and I connected, but did no business

        I was the seller of a home that she came by to look at to sell for me. After going through my home and talking she said she would get back to me with a possible listing price. We spoke on the phone a week later and she gave me a price almost 70k lower than actual value and stated we "could squeeze" that out of your home, as though it was a fixer upper. She came across not too caring to sell my home and really couldn't be bothered. Really somewhat rude. I would not feel like she is actually on the side of a seller, I just was not given the feeling she cared. I am very glad I did not sign with her because I did get an offer that was 73K higher than she thought it was even worth. Not impressed!
