We lived in Wayland 31 years and know the town well. Doug knows extensive details about many neighborhoods. His comps were particularly carefully chosen given that our house had not been updated. Dougs knowledge of the sale and closing process is very detailed. For example he knew that it was important to have a paid receipt for the final oil fill-up so that an over cautious lender wouldnt have a concern about an encumbrance. He provides very professional collateral, had good advice about when to enter the market and what the pros and cons of several offers were. His open houses were well timed and produced several offers. Doug returned most calls and texts in a few hours. It felt as though we Dougs only deal working, though Im pretty sure he had several other things going. We had one negotiation which involved a post inspection request for substantial price reduction. It would have been a deal breaker, but Doug helped us work out a counter offer we could live with that was accepted. Dougs easy going but firm manner made working with him a pleasure. And I very much appreciate his accommodation of my occasional bit of ill-temper.

We were first time home buyers (and very anxious about pretty much everything). Doug guided us through every step of the process. Almost straight away he understood completely what we were looking for in a home and ensured that we really focused on seeing homes that fit our needs. He had great knowledge of the different towns that we were looking at and he also was extremely knowledgable in relation to all of our questions about owning a home. When we found our home he ensured that we did not overpay, and then negotiated additional items for us in a very effective way. Doug is a professional who has your best interest in mind when he deals with you. His expertise is to help you make decisions that are best for you. Very rarely you find such service providers especially if they are going to receive compensation only if a trade occurs. But with Doug that is not the primary concern. We moved to Sudbury from out of state and Doug was paramount in making that happen. He's just a great guy and really wonderful to work with. He is very knowledgeable about the area and the nuances of the MA buying process (it's quite different than most other states) and his communication was great over email and phone (and in person :).
