      We worked with Hayley and Eddie (primarily Hayley) on purchasing a single family home in the first half of 2019. We had previously had a great experience working with Eddie on the purchase of our condo in 2013, so there wasn't even a question of who we would call when we were ready to make our next move. A wave of press articles about imminent tech IPOs and a lack of inventory made the SF real estate market in the first half of 2019 fiercely competitive for buyers, particularly since our criteria were the most in-demand: A classic (Victorian) single family home in one of a few select neighborhoods with an excellent walk score, great local amenities, great schools, and easy access to public transit. Hayley and Eddie applied their superior knowledge of the SF market to help guide us through the process, and exercise care and discipline in working with us to make offers. While we were outbid on several of our early offers, Hayley and Eddie made sure that our bids struck the right balance between being competitive and not overpaying. They showed great care in ensuring that we didn't overpay rather than just trying to get a quick deal. Even after being outbid on several homes, Hayley continued carefully monitoring the market and literally pounded the pavement on our behalf, visiting several properties and speaking with brokers on the small handful of available homes that might meet our criteria.
