Grant Inaba

Grant Inaba is the best of the best! My boyfriend and I were actually referred to him by our lender (at that moment in time; I say this because we didnt get to close with him) and from the very first phone call, Grant demonstrated a standard of customer service that is out of this world in the best way possible!!! He made himself available to meet with us same day, on a couple of hours notice, and made it super convenient by coming to us. My boyfriend and I have a few realtor friends and planned to meet with all of them one-on-one to decide who to go with. Well, Grant was our first meeting and after that, we didnt have to look anymore. He walked us through the entire process, and then through each phase in detail, every step of the way. As first-time buyers, this was especially important to us. Purchasing a home, not to mention, your FIRST home, is particularly stressful even more so when you have no idea whats going on or dont understand the process. Grant eliminated the anxiety that comes with not knowing/understanding. He was patient, not at all condescending, and offered to go above and beyond, wherever he could. We were pretty intent about closing on a home before the end of the year (we started in September) and accomplished that goal. Since we were in a bit of a hurry, we asked to see 2-3 houses at a time. Grant handled this tall task effortlessly and expediently and made arrangements with whoever he needed to, to get this done. We literally didnt have to do anything but send him listings. He created agendas for us to see them and in an order that made sense. There was never any pressure on us to put offers in on a certain (more expensive, perhaps) property. We relied on Grant heavily for his opinion on how much to offer on a house, what could be done to remodel things we didnt like (Grant does contractor work on his own, too!), and whether or not a property was worth the hassle. Long story short, we got into contract on a house we fell in love with and werent able to close until 2 months later. I want to make it clear that none of this was Grants fault (our lender that we did end up closing with, sucked big time). As a matter of fact, he tried to make concessions where other people fell short by taking care of the problem himself (things that werent his responsibility) or comping us monetarily, from his own cut of the sale. If we could do it all over again, we wouldnt think twice about choosing Grant as our agent (we would most definitely cut out the lender, but thats a completely different story). He is absolutely the best! To this day, we still contact him for his input. We are real-life people and now, extremely pleased first-time homeowners. We had very good experience with Grant. We had to make multiple offers before one was finally accepted. He was very patient and willing to with us, he showed us at-least a dozen places. He was prompt with replies to all the questions we had, as a first time buyers. He was on top of all the issues and updated us in timely manner.

Grant helped me and my husband to find our first home, and we are really happy we met him! We were in a hurry to find a place within two months, and he showed many places that might meet our criteria. He educated us about the neighborhood that we didn't know much about, and he told us stuff that we have to watch out for. He is also great at communication and he would answer the phone, email and text whenever I needed his help. He has a great network so we got a fast approval from a loan officer. We wouldn't have been able to purchase our place without his help. And when we also had some issues with our HOA Grant stood up and tried to solve the problem on our side even after closing. Grant did an amazing job of helping us find our first home. He met up with us for multiple viewings and would point out things that could be problematic and how to deal with it. When we began to get outbid by people with more $$$, or flat out all-cash offers, he was able to shift our focus on to other regions of the bay that werent as competitive yet. We ended up finding a beautiful mid-century ranch style home in Antioch. Grant also generally cared about the needs of me and my family, and because of that, I look forward to working with Grant again when its time for us to make another home purchase.

As a first time homebuyer I feel very lucky that I was fortunate enough to do business with Grant. He is an honest, knowledgeable, responsive and all around no nonsense agent. He showed me quite a few homes and helped me find one that fits my needs. His experience as a home owner, real estate agent, and house flipper really shines when looking at homes. He will be able to give you a rough estimate of the cost of fixes and whether it is something that you can do on your own or not. He was pretty generous with his time and always punctual. He clearly enjoys his line of work and does it with pride, integrity and most importantly honesty. Needless to say I will highly recommend Grant to anyone looking to purchase a home, especially first time home buyers.

Grant is super knowledgeable in his area! He walks you through the neighborhood on snapchat and instagram. He is very tech savvy and will use his technology skills to get your home sold. I have been following him on snapchat and I see how he helps his clients get the best deals and gets the homes sold fast with the help of his team.

Grant was a solid agent from start to finish. He was always reachable to answer questions and concerning issues. A very reliable person when it came to scheduling appointments and showings. He had the ability to "hold my hand" through the whole process by treating me like a good friend. With his deep knowledge of the many facets of home ownership I never felt I was getting a false answer and he was always truthful while being upfront. Going through my first home ownership, I felt lucky and fortunate to have his calm demeanor on my side. I couldn't imagine dealing with anyone else. My experiences with him have been top notched and he's set the bar high for any other agent I'll every have to deal with.

My boyfriend and I are recent first time home buyers and we were incredibly lucky to have had Grant as our agent. He was exceedingly patient and knowledgeable as we moved our search from SF to Emeryville and Oakland, and ultimately to Pleasant Hill. He is always responsive to emails/texts and truly goes above and beyond for his clients (when he met us to give us the keys, he even helped us move some boxes into our house!). We consider Grant a friend, and cannot thank him enough for helping us find our perfect home.

Grant helped me get across the finish line on a very complicated triplex sale! He was there every step of the way, and even did manual labor helping put down new flooring and replace drywall when the bank's appraisers requested the house have some work done prior to financing. I'd happily work with Grant again!
