She was not very helpful in helping us find our ideal first home. We were not familiar with the city and asked about good areas and she would tell us to "look around" to see if it was a good area. She mentioned helping her daughter buy a home in a good area and when I asked where she said I could never afford that area. We wanted to make an offer on a home that was about $10,000 less than asking price and she told us that it was offensive. We stopped for lunch one day and she allowed me to pay. She never gave any closing gift. She recommended an inspector who passed the house with no issues. A month after moving in, our roof leaked. We called her and the inspector who both said there was nothing we could do. When we sold the house, the selling realtor told us that both of them could have been held liable for that.
