  • Jennifer listed and sold my home

My husband and I were very disappointed and frustrated with Jen throughout our buying and selling process. As a whole it felt like Jen was there to push paperwork only, with little insight or recommendation on what common practice might be in respone to items that would come up. Communication was probably the biggest factor that led to frustration in many areas. When we agreed to work with Jen, we understood real estate was her part time 2nd job, but we didn't realize how much that factor would seem like we were her lowest priority through out the process. Things often felt ad hoc and reactionary with her, without any details or overview from her on what to expect in the process. Offers, updates and other critical details would come through via text, typically saying that our proposed terms had been agreed to, followed by an immediate docusign upload from Jen just asking us to sign things. Thank goodness we actually reviewed everything because more times than not items didn't match what was discussed or they had mistakes. Normally, we only had a couple hour windows during the day we could catch her to actually talk live through questions or concerns. These small windows of her availabilty also caused delays in us receiving time sensitive items on a few occassions, putting us in a rush on our end for decisions. Another major let down was when Jen showed up with only her iPhone to take pictures of our townhouse to sell. Many of the photos were so dark you couldnt see anything or so over edited things like grass appeared neon. When we had her retake them because we were so upset at what she provided, the result was not that much better. This was certainly not the level of service she had represented to us at the start. We were lucky our townhome and neighborhood could sell itself. Overall there were many other parts of the process that were extremely frustrating and unprofessional, making us feel Jen's biggest priority was to get her commission, not to represent our best interest as clients. And now 4 months after the sale of our home, Jen's errors and oversights continue to pop up and leave us scrambling to clean it up, with again no input from her (shocker she has her commission and is gone). Which was the final straw for feeling maybe I should provide an honest review after all. I would certainly not recommend Jen to others, unless all you need is a real estate code to open doors and someone to push paperwork.
