- Joseph listed and sold my home
Mr. Goodman secured the listing to sell my house based upon what he said be very strong marketing effort. His marketing effort consisted primarily have a video of the house posted on his real estate listing. There was minimal showings, Open houses, advice on how to stage the home, or networking with fellow agents to drive traffic. Three weeks after the listing was opened, Mr. Goodman recommended that we lower our asking price by $15,000 to demonstrate that we were “ committed“ Sellers (whatever that means.). I refused. After several months we received one qualified offer that was tens of thousands less than our asking price. Mr. Goodman strongly pressured us to except the offer, advising we would not likely receive a better one. Reduce my asking price a few thousand dollars and that was excepted by the buyer. Mr. Goodman subsequently urge me to lower my price due to issues raised in the pre-sale maintenance report, which was apparently due to the buyers need to raise cash for the closing costs. Finally, due to a poorly drafted contract, we had only a few days to pack up and move out after the buyer qualified for a loan and was ready to close. From the beginning to the end of this process, Mr. Goodman appeared to focus more on his desire to turn a quick commission, than to obtain a fair price for the sale of my home or to help us navigate the home sale process.
