Katherine Cooper

A small town girl from Ely, Nevada, where life was simple and isolated, where people were accountable to each other, because everyone knew who you were. An adventurer, who jumped at the opportunity to go to boarding school at Santa Catalina School for Girls at age 14, a life altering, enriching experience. An achiever, who enrolled at Cal, joined a sorority, experienced the Free Speech Movement in action, and graduated in four years with an English major. A born nester, knowing that for me, family was paramount, proud of three children, now happily launched. A long term resident of Berkeley, Oakland and finally Piedmont (since 1979), where the children were raised and educated.
