- Larry helped me buy a home
Larry took so much extra time to make sure my husband and I understood every step in the process of buying our home.
- Larry showed me homes
My experience with Larry was great. If you are looking for a rehab or just a home I recommend calling Larry and let him do a search for you.
- Larry helped me buy a home
This was the first time I'd worked with Larry and Maria. They far exceeded my wife and I's expectations. The attention to detail, fast response time, and continually working to ensure we got the best deal, was second to none. Their representation of us throughout the process was stellar. I will always look to work with them in the future, and happily recommend them to anyone they can assist.
- Larry and I connected, but did no business
I signed a lease with Mr. Hackett and that he left me no choice but to terminate within 30 min of setting foot in the door (after driving 1000 miles for a PCS move!) because of the condition of the property and his professionalism toward my concerns. Thankfully he didn’t fight me to terminate the lease and return the deposit and prepaid rent (he is aware of my engineering, handyman, and professional photographer backgrounds and most likely rightfully assessed that would have wreaked havoc on properly documenting everything and reporting it, so he chose to find someone else to fool), however I want to shed some more light on what I believe to be unethical and unprofessional business practices. One thing, however minor, that encapsulates the concerning trend of his customer service—as well as accepting responsibility that it was his management ineptitude and neglect of the property that forced my family and I to terminate the lease within 30 min of arriving at the property due to ubiquitous mold, water damage, and peeling paint that likely exposed lead-based paint—is his refusal to assume a $19 electric bill from pre-activating the utilities a few days prior to our arrival. Again, it is because of him that we were forced back into a hotel less than an hour after unlocking the door to what should have been our home for the next year after driving 1,000 miles from NC. As to the complaints of the damage itself, I initially inquired and sought to seek a resolution, only to have my concerns dismissed and asked repeatedly if, on an extremely sunny day, I saw any water despite pointing out the ceiling to floor stains, peeling paint, bulging wall, and rotted drywall that I could poke through with a finger. “The peeling paint it just from the exhaust from the back of the range.” When asked, Mr. Hackett quickly countered with "oh, well that wall is always peeling." Even more incredulously, he then explains, "the peeling paint is just from the exhaust from the back of the range.” Mr. Hackett is either grossly misinformed or trying to sell snake oil, because that’s absolutely and categorically an erroneous statement, and anyone that has ever cooked on a range and rarely puts on their vent above the stove knows paint doesn't peel floor to ceiling. And to be clear, these concerns did not even take into account the overall state of cleanliness of the premises, which lay vacant for almost three months and clearly was not cleaned prior to the arrival of a new incoming tenant. I found the property owner and emailed him the above information as well as the attached photos, and Cc'ed Mr. Hackett, only to be dismissed as "whining." I want to ensure that no one has to repeat the same experience I did, and I hope you steer clear of any property associated with Larry Hackett (as he is also a real estate agent, unfortunately). Because if those pictures are merely "whining," then that's the type of customer service you can expect from Larry Hackett.

We bought our home from Larry and he is great. Very knowledgeable. Quick at getting back to us when we called with questions, and just an all around nice guy.

- Jeff JosephSaw many houses over 5 years, gave up on purchasing a house, decided to purchase land to build on, but couldn't decided on an affordable house plan, then finally found a house that I loved on the market after 4 years of my land purchase. So now I am a proud owner, of 2.3 acres and a 2,500 sq ft house. Worked with Larry for several years, and was very indecisive but he stayed with me.
- Rachel ChaseLarry was recommended to me by a close friend and he helped me buy my 1st investment property. He made the experience super easy and after the sale he was even more helpful. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend Larry to anyone looking for a home or investment property.
