Linda is a top-notch real estate agent and she truly went above and beyond to help me purchase my first home. I highly recommend her if you are a buyer looking in the Bay Area. I was referred to Linda by a friend who had been raving about her. She is very personable and easy to talk to, so I immediately connected with her. Not once did I feel uncomfortable asking her the million questions I had. She seemed to really listen to what I wanted, and was extremely knowledgeable about the market in the East Bay, where I was looking. She was always available when I had questions or when I wanted to see a property that didnt have an open house, which I really liked about working with her. She was also proactive in sending me properties I might like. When we finally made an offer, my first lender couldnt make my loan work, but Linda immediately referred me to another lender, that got me pre-approved right away. We were met with some obstacles during the escrow period, but Linda always had a solution and made me feel like everything was going to be ok. I honestly dont know if I would have gotten my home if I was working with anyone else. I am so happy to have met and worked with Linda. I am currently writing this from the dream house I never thought was obtainable, and it's because I had the luck and privilege of working with Linda. I first met with Linda via phone while I was still living in Florida. I had previously lived in the bay and was really eager to move my family back but, being a first time buyer, I was really intimidated to approach what is inarguably the most aggressive and volatile market in the country right now. Linda was incredibly approachable, patient, thorough, and attentive: qualities that not all real estate agents I met with demonstrated. Linda genuinely cares about her clients finding a home that they love and that is within their means.I met with her on May 23rd and 3 weeks later I was closing on my number one home choice. Linda worked all hours of the day, late into the night and even weekends answering all of my countless questions, getting in touch with the appropriate listing agents, escrow officers etc., and sending me all of the comps and disclosures on the obscene amount of houses I was looking at. She very patiently explained everything to me making sure that I understood every aspect of homeownership (which I'm pretty sure is not in her job description). She was incredibly frank about what was, and was not realistic. Finally Linda is just a kind and incredible person, the type of person that makes you feel comfortable, and not pressured buying a home. Linda is skillful, personable, professional and fierce! She sold our East Oakland house for $130K over asking after just two weekends of open houses. We accepted an offer the following Wednesday. Putting a home on the market is an exhausting and emotional time of uncertainty when even the happiest couples bicker. I wouldnt normally be comfortable with an outsider in my space during a time like that but Linda was different. I trusted her. And my fiance was confident from the start that she was a bad a** who would advocate for us and get us the best price. He was right! And after all was said and done she was no longer an outsider.
