Good realtors will suggest making a lower offer expecting a counter offer.. I felt she wanted the sale to take place on the spot as much for her benefit as well as mine and she told us to offer the asking price. She never mentioned checking Zillow, which I never had heard of, to see how long the house was on the market and see the approximate real value.
