  • Mikki listed, but didn't sell, my home

In July 2103, we contracted with Mikki to sell our property in Cordova, TN. We moved out of state later that month, entrusting Mikki to have our best interests at heart in our absence. At first meeting, she was very friendly, enthusiastic and eager to get our property listed. She seemed a perfect fit. Over the next six months, Mikki's lack of professionalism and common courtesies became apparent. It would take weeks and several emails or telephone calls to get her to answer a simple question. It took months before she listed the property on or other comprehensive services and, when she did finally do it, the listing was poor and did not adequately describe the property. She never held an open house and we doubt she ever showed the property as she never provided feedback on a showing,. Most often, she was vacationing in FL. The final straw was when she let our listing expire without the courtesy of a phone call. When we realized the listing expired, we attempted to communicate with her but, in true Mikki fashion, she failed to return any calls until her branch manager contacted her. She wasted 8 months of our time. Our new realtor, was able to get multiple offers within two months. BOTTOM LINE: Unless your property is worth close to $1M, it's probably not worth Mikki's time. Search reviews of other realtors...especially for those listing properties in the same price range as yours.
