I have known Margot Lockwood almost my entire life and was thrilled when she agreed to help me find my first home as I knew she would look after me and treat me like she was looking for a house for her own daughter. I was also so excited to learn that Ricky was joining her team and that with the two of them I couldnt be in better hands as they each bring their unique strong qualities to their partnership.I cant stress enough that they were there for me every step of the way and always available to me when I wanted to see a property and had questions or concerns. They were extremely flexible in working around my schedule and arranging for me to see homes outside of open houses. I met Ricky Flores when he responded to my request to view a property with only a couple hours notice. The house turned out to be completely inappropriate for my needs but Ricky was very approachable and enthusiastic about helping me find the right fit and I decided to work with him as my buying agent. He was honest and helpful in his suggestions and reactions to some rather questionable (ok, shockingly awful) properties. He was optimistic but still realistic about my chances and I was accepted on the third house I bid on. During the closing process Ricky was on top of my less than stellar loan broker and even checked on me after the close to see if everything was ok. Margot was also extremely helpful during a stressful moment with the loan broker and I really felt that I had family watching my back during a stressful period. We first met Ricky at a random open house in 2018, by fate. My husband and I had been looking to buy property along the peninsula for quite some time. Guadalupe and I were first-time home buyers in the market for our new home. We approached home buying with no real clarity on how to navigate the lending process or how to present competitive offers in a challenging market. Fortunately, Ricky and his team (as well as our great lender!) were very responsive to our myriad of questions and walked us through the entire process from start to finish. Ricky was also meticulous in providing us closing schedule dates as well as making sure we were on top of down payments, house walkthroughs etc. We ended up getting our second offer accepted and closing in a record time of ~21 days. This was my first time buying a home, Margot and Ricky made the process so incredibly smooth. I had no idea what I was doing but they guided me through and made sure I understood everything. I first saw my home on Zillow and...I was pretty sure it would sell way over asking. Ricky encouraged me to make an offer and at least try. I trusted him and offered and to my surprise they accepted my offer. I had a 25 day escrow which was super stressful but Ricky helped me every step of the way. He answered all my phone calls, texts, and questions no matter what time of day it was. Even after the purchase of my home, Ricky is still available and helping me with any little problem such as getting in touch with my HOA and contacting home warranty to come repair my broken microwave.
