Robin Donegan

In 2009 my wife and I were in our sixties, our daughter was grown, and we decided it would be prudent to move from our two-story house in Stone Bridge subdivision, where we had lived for nineteen years, to a one story, ranch-style house at another location in Raleigh, Cary, or Apex. Needing to find a capable realtor, I asked my colleagues at the North Carolina Department of Justice who had recently bought or sold houses for a recommendation. My friend Danielle Marquis suggested I call Robin Donegan. It was well-founded advice for which I am grateful to this day. After a number of discussions with Robin regarding the wants and needs my wife Beth and I had for a new home, we signed a contract securing Robin as our agent. Robin’s work for us demonstrated time and again her broad and deep knowledge of the housing market in the Raleigh area and her professionalism as a realtor. Searching for a new house as well as preparing one’s current house for sale is time-consuming and often frustrating experience. While our search was time consuming (four-bedroom, one-story houses are relatively rare), our experience was not discouraging in large part because of Robin’s diligence and persistence. It is a pleasure to work with Robin because of her very attractive personality and marvelous sense of humor. In the end we sold our house in Stonebridge for and bought our current house in Bent Tree subdivision, a house we love. Robin’s advice during the negotiations for both the sale and the purchase was definitely, as we lawyers say, “on point." We have remained in touch with Robin because, inevitably, we must someday move again, and when we do will again retain Robin’s services. ---- Jack Barnwell
