  • Ross never responded to my request

I moved into my condo in 2008. This year my Landlord sold the unit that I'm currently living in. The new management is Central Park Realty and Ross manages the unit. I have been under their management since February 2020 and Ross and John have already spoken to me rude and disrespectful over the phone to me on 3 occasions. Ross lacks interpersonal and verbal communication skills. Ross doesn't like to be given a list of maintenance concerns, but in my lease Central Park Realty will automatically take out $150.00 from my security deposit for fixing up the unit when I decide not to renew my lease. In addition, I was just reading a review by someone who lived in their place for 20 years and Central Park Realty kept $500.00 from their security deposit for replacing 20 year old carpets that would be normal wear and tear. Sierra who was working at Central Park Realty did a walk through of my unit and she suggested that the holes under the lanai could be cemented over, when I informed her that snakes live under the lanai for the past 12 years and I have seen snakes come in and out of these holes under the lanai. Ross told me that he could not continue patching up the holes under the lanai when I kept telling him that maintenance did not patch up all the holes. His response was that he already paid enough money cementing. And, Ross told me that I needed to do it myself. I am a disabled veteran. It is apparent that Ross doesn't appreciate the fact that for the past 12 years, I have paid my rent on time and I was never late. Ross wants to pass the buck, rather than being a professional. I am not an attorney and I can not give legal advice, but I am a Paralegal. According to the Landlord and Tenant Act of 1985, "a Landlord's responsibility is to keep in repair the structure and exterior of the dwelling. A tenant has a statutory right to live in quite enjoyment." I have attempted to use other methods to get rid of the snakes in my backyard and under the lanai. This problem have gotten so bad to the point we can not use the backyard, including allowing our dog in the backyard for all our safety. Central Park Realty has a legal obligation for a tenant's health and safety. I have even had snakes hissed at me. I will be contacting the Health and Safety Executive if my repairs are not executed and maintained. To be continued.... "Black Lives Matter".
