Sonia and her team helped us a great deal in our first home purchase. There were already 97 calls in on the first day but Sonia had my wife and I take a short video in front of the house, showing the owners how much we loved the place. She told us she would get us the place and that's exactly what she did! The house was being sold 'As Is' so we were a little worried because there were some costly issues. However, Sonia was able to get some of our closing costs lowered to offset some of this.Another perk was the resources at their disposal. Lots of great recommendations on financing, insurance and all kinds of renovation contacts. Even hooked us up with a big moving truck to help us with the move!I have never worked with anyone who is so personable but also on top of her game. Well I first encountered Sonia through a loan officer. I was having trouble getting a home around May 2015. I had another agent at the time who continuously lost several homes due to his inability to close on a deal. There was a home I really wanted and the agent lost it. I decided to take up the loan officer and go with Sonia. The world is very funny; the house I really wanted didn't go through escrow and was put back on the market. I told Sonia the house was back on the market and within 3 hours of a phone call of just meeting her over the phone. Mind you I was living in North Carolina at the time due to military duties. No one I talked to believed that this was possible in this market; the short sale home was in good shape and in a good location. This review is broken into three parts; the search, the sale and purchase.The Search: We were new to this area, so our search encompassed various parts of San Diego as well as Orange County. Everyone told us that there was no way we would be able to purchase the home with a contingency on the sale of our house, but Sonia made it happen. By maintain excellent communications with the sellers team and responding to their questions immediately and thoroughly, she was able to able to put us ahead of other bidders for the house. As tenaciously as she stood by our side when we were selling, she did the same with us when buying. At one point, the seller had tacked on three thousand five hundred dollars in fees because it was a short sale. We had accepted this, but Sonia just casually mentioned that she had this fee dropped without any prompting from us. Overall, we have nothing but the highest praise for Sonia. She is supremely competent at what she does, which is allowing a person to get the maximum value on a sale, and an advantage in this extremely competitive market when making a purchase. In addition to her formidable skills as a negotiator, she has an excellent network of professionals that range from short sale specialists, fellow realtors, mortgage providers and specialists needed at address inspection issues, repairs and improvements. Powerhouse! Seriously impressed with Sonia and her team. Last minute we needed someone to fill in for our agent who suffered a concussion. With less than 24 hours of knowing of our open house she was at her office printing flyers and posting boosted Facebook ads. I can only imagine the marketing she puts in place when she has a full listing. She and her team were all at our open house and the vibe was amazing as they welcomed guests with a array of food. Tons of signs were put out to capture traffic from every direction. We work with 30 agents plus a year and this girl is a stand out.
