I am writing this review as a person who purchased a home in the bay area, California. I believe real estate in the bay area is one of the most challenging and even the “scary” markets for anyone who would like to buy a home in this territory. It is evident that without having a competent realtor, the chance to find and buy your dream home is almost impossible. So, you may ask what the characteristics of a skilled and qualified realtor would be. A qualified realtor should have enough knowledge of the local market, be familiar with the market trends, and know the realistic prices of homes in the area to give correct advice to the buyer. A real estate agent should also be an honest person with immense integrity and full enthusiasm, have an excellent network of connections with different people that all may get in the loop to assist the buyer in making a deal as early and smooth as possible. A good and competent realtor never gives up, is a good negotiator with all sides, and always has an attitude of encouragement. I can tell you without any reservation that Tess has all of these features. We have had an excellent experience working with Tess to buy our dream home in the bay area. She took care of everything expertly and always in a professional and honest manner from the start to the end and even after purchasing the home. Tess Pollitz is a Rockstar! She helped us close on our dream home! We were introduced to Tess by my brother and sister-in-law. Tess is a phenomenal agent for countless reasons.  As first time home buyers, we had many questions along the way, and Tess did a wonderful job at guiding us through the process and keeping us at ease.  It was clear from our first interactions with her that she is good at what she does and is passionate about her job.  Tess was extremely professional throughout the process and always made herself available even when we knew she was very busy.  I don't know how she does it, but she makes you feel like you're her top priority even when she's balancing many other priorities, and she always follows through on what she promises. I personally felt comfortable with Tess because I could tell she was genuine and honest with us at all times.  Tess is also well connected - she referred us to an excellent mortgage broker, and she was able to connect us with reliable people from electricians to painters to pool maintenance companies.  She always went the extra mile to not only connect us with people, but she would also always personally call them first to make things much smoother when we did reach out to them. We were about to put an offer on another home, but she called us the night before we were about to, and told us we needed to see another home before we put in the offer. We are so glad she did because that ended up being our home that we ended up buying! The first was pretty simple, however more recently we were selling my parents home of 40+ years after my mother's passing. Living out of state, it was hard to stay on top of things throughout the process but Tess and her team were nothing but helpful. Now, we loved our old home, but it needed work to be ready to sell, so much so that I was nervous we'd not as well as we hoped. Details below, but thanks to Tess, we not only met our goal, we set a record for our home type in our neighborhood! This was due 100% to Tess. She project managed the upgrades to our home, coordinating contractors and making thoughtful choices. I'm embarrassed at how little I did. She did a good job of knowing when to consult us and when to use her discretion. The house was done on time and looked amazing. The sale price was deserved thanks to her efforts. Then during the listing process, she staged our home beautifully and took great care to build a competitive market. We got over a half dozen offers, all above asking, and closed quickly.
