As a retired couple looking to return to the North Bay, we were looking for an honest, well informed real estate representative. It seems in the past the real estate salespersons were always in a hurry and their needs come first.But there was a man who we remembered that dropped US Flags by for the 4th of July and left a battery to remind us to change batteries.So we decided to try Bill Gabbert. This was by faith since we lived in Houston, TX, and Bill was in Petaluma CA. He sent us up to date listings in our price range. We asked him to check out a few homes, which he did, and usually called back the next day with his opinions. That saves us a lot of time and money of coming out and not desiring the home. He had an excellent idea of what we wanted.Finally we settled on Clover Springs, a Del Web 55+ development in Cloverdale. It fit our desires and needs. Bill thought the house had "strong bones," and was reasonable priced. But, he suggested to make an offer very low that we thought the buyer would reject it, but a low counter offer was made and we accepted it. From the first time we saw the house to closing of escrow took only a week. And this was due to Bill pushing things through.Throughout all the time we were dealing with Bill, he responded within 24 hours, sometimes in a couple of hours. He always told us the "good, bad and ugly" about the house. He was never in a hurry or pushing to make a sale.
