Derek helped us into a house just in time for a new baby. He spent much needed time in his office and out in the field looking at houses with us. We are first time homebuyers in the U.S. and had a ton of questions about the process, and on top of that-being new to CA meant we didn't know a lot about the neighborhoods, soil type or house styles here. He also seems to be well known with other realtors in the area with a good reputation. He is prompt in his replies-even if its a day off for him. Realtors tend to work all the time and while we don't think thats necessary (everyone needs a day off) it was certainly a relief to get answers to our questions asap.RE: the house that we purchased. We put in asking price (which is pretty unusual) and requested the seller do sewer lateral. On top of that the house had been updated and included all appliances. Part of this great deal was timing and the seller wanting to sell. But, we have no doubt the transaction was smooth because of Derek's knowledge and expertise. At the end, he congratulated us with a gift for buying a home-it was a great thought and intention from him and we were touched!If we end up selling and/or buying another house in the area I doubt we would go with anyone else. During the process of going to open houses, we were often times approached by real estate agents who tried to "poach" us as well as people who just never contacted us back (weird since this profession works on commission), as well as other unprofessional things.Derek kept it professional and personal, we are recommending him to multiple friends who plan to buy in the near future.

Derek Han is exceptional and very professional. He assisted my family and I on buying a home in Antioch in less than a month after searching for a home with a different agent for a few months. I first met Derek Han in late 2015 at an open house in Hercules. He was the Listing Agent at the time, he is a great attentive listener and I'm truly believe he is a genuine person. My wife and I was not financial strong at that time, and the house that Derek showed was a bit over our budget, none-the-less he didn't mind taking his time to explained all of the questions that I was clueless about an real estate sales, he assured we are comfortable and put us at ease. September of 2015, we finally found a beautiful home, we are thrilled! Derek did an awesome work on negotiating and getting our loan complete. Derek helped my wife and I successfully purchase a house in Berkeley, despite it being one of the most competitive markets in the Bay Area. On each house we made a bid on, Derek facilitated a private showing, sent us the disclosures, and gave us advice on the terms of our offer. Once we had an accepted offer, Derek negotiated with the seller to give us an additional price reduction and have some repair work done before closing (both unheard of in Berkeley). The best way to review Derek Han as a real estate agent is to tell our story. Two months ago, my wife and I were dreaming about moving into a larger home for our growing family. And in the last two months, not only did we sell our current home but we purchased our dream home. It was all possible because of Derek's keen knowledge of the real estate market, his proactive approach, and the tactful way he resolves issues.We met Derek at an open house in our neighborhood. Our first impression of him was that he was very nice, easy to talk to, and professional. We explained to him that we wanted to purchase a larger home but it would be contingent on the sale of our existing home. This isn't a whole lot in the bay area market. But consider this. It sold for more than the brand new ones across the street from our home. How can a 6 year old home sell for more than a brand new one? Derek understood what we wanted and through his proactive approach we were able to view the home and submit a competitive offer. Our offer was accepted and the home never made it to the scheduled open house!
