I moved here to finish college in 1992 and have loved this area from day one. Having lived here for 23 years, I have an extensive knowledge of the entire High Country region, including Ashe, Avery and Watauga Counties. I can help guide you to best restaurants, challenging hiking trails, the most romantic views, swimming spots and fantastic real estate. I am a graduate of Appalachian State University's Industrial Technology Program. I majored in Appropriate Technology and focused on Sustainable Building, Solar, Wind and Hydro technology and Sustainable Development. I enjoy sharing the information I learned in college to help educate people on the benefits of Appropriate Technologies.
