Gordon Sloat

After growing up in a small town north of New York City, I headed west and never looked back. I graduated from the University of Hawaii with a degree in psychology and with teaching certifications in elementary education, emphasizing early childhood education and learning disability remediation. After graduating, I worked as a teacher in Hawaii for seven years. From the beautiful Pacific Ocean of Hawaii I headed to the spectacular mountains of Colorado. This move introduced me to my second career of business management in which I operated as the general manager for several major restaurants along the Front Range. It was in this industry that I became a “foodie” and discovered a talent for gourmet cooking.
