I have been a licensed Real Estate Broker in New York for almost 60 years and I have a Law Degree and own and manage all of my properties. We were attempting to bid on the house which was listed at $595,000. You could NOT increase your bid once it was submitted. My wife and I did not know how much to bid. That's when I called Robert for his advise. That's when he said these magic words to us. "Bid as much as you feel comfortable with." We kept calling Robert several times before the Monday 10:00 AM submission of the bid. ONCE the bid was submitted, you could NOT change the price. The morning of the bid we called Robert and caught him just before he left to submit our bid. We told him to just add another $5,000. to our bid. In all we bid $70,000. over the asking amount. We won the house by just that $5,000. My phone was ringing off the hook the next morning by people offering me all kinds of money to turn the house over to them. We bought the house for $670,000. We recently checked the estimated value of the house on line. It's now over 3.5 million dollars and if it wasn't for Robert's great advise, we would never own this beautiful house. Believe me, if I were offered 10 Million Dollars Cash for the house right now, I would NOT sell it. So as an experienced Real Estate Broker and investor, I must say, Robert is a genius and I will never forget his great advise. If it weren't for him, we would not have gotten this beautiful house in a top location near Lake Shore.
