Roxanne grew up in the local Bradenton area and graduated from Manatee Community College and the University of Florida. With a B.S. in English and Journalism, she taught school in Sarasota for six years. Roxanne’s interests are varied and far-reaching. In addition to teaching in Sarasota, she has also owned the Flamingo City Café in the downtown Sarasota area as well as worked for Boca Beacon Newspaper on Boca Grande. Her interest in country music led her to become the publisher of the Country Grapevine. Today Roxanne remains a member of the Charlotte County Country Music Club. She has two grown children, Sean and Shannon, and three grandchildren.
