Boyd Realty was established in 1952 by Wilbur Boyd Sr. Mr. Boyd, a fourth generation Manatee County native, served in the Florida Senate for many years. Senator Boyd was voted the “Most Outstanding Legislator of the Decade” in the 1970’s. Senator Boyd’s father served in the Florida Legislature, as well. Boyd Realty acted as the sales and marketing arm of Boyd Corporation. The real estate company handled small to large developments from conception to sell out, as well as resale residential, commercial transactions. Today, Brenda Boyd May, Broker, continues the tradition of expertise. Thirty years in the business under the guidance of her father, Brenda is unwavering in the goal of continuing a successful company with values and standards that were established in 1952.
