      Bret Maryon was our realtor for our Sunnyvale house that sold in February 2020. Bret worked for us in the Ponderosa Park area of Sunnyvale, and I recommend him highly: he knows that area very well. Bret is smart, honest, and hard-working. He was open about the possible flaws in the house design but was also able to point out all of the positives. While we were living out of state, he managed cosmetic remodeling to get the house ready for sale, including redoing hardwood floors, touchups in the kitchen and bathrooms, painting, and a landscape refresh. Communication (text, email, and phone calls) was excellent. Bret works with a designer who does staging for the sale and advises him on what need updating, but he never pushed: decisions were always left up to us. He has his own stable of contractors and also shopped around or took our suggestions to get lower prices. We were skeptical about the need for staging but in hindsight it was well worth it. Bret sold the houses on either side of us, and those sold as quickly as ours (one week on the market). Choosing a realtor is a big decision: you are trusting a big investment to someone. Bret made all of the right decisions for us and was very easy to work with. I recommend him with no reservations.
