Over the past number of years I worked with close to a dozen of Realtors. I can say without hesitation that Chad Basinger proved to be the best. I got to know Chad when I started looking for a retirement condo for my parents. After 7 months of patiently monitoring Chads emails with properties that fitted my search criteria (an excellent service by the way), I finally zeroed in on one of the properties. Alas, when I arrived to look at the condo and met Chad there for the first time the property did not fit my criteria. However, this meeting was not wasted. Chad was well prepared and came with the information about another condo that was for sale in the same complex. That property was much more suitable and we started the offer process that eventually led to a successful purchase. I have known Chad since elementary school. When my husband and I decided to start the home search, we did not think twice about using him. Chad is a first-rate real estate agent. His expertise is broad enough to encompass the full range of needs of a relocating family and deep enough to ensure that a transaction is handled professionally. I have confidence in his negotiating skills, and took his advice -- even when I thought he was being too aggressive. (He was right.) I very highly recommend Chad. Chad is really an amazing person and even more amazing agent. He helped my husband and I buy a home, in a bit of an odd situation. My husband is in the US Marine Corps and at the time we were living in North Carolina knowing that we had orders to Ca. I was able to come to Ca for about 2 weeks to hunt for a home. It is here that I met Chad. Chad went above and beyond his duty for us! He showed me house after house until we found...the one. After finding the one, there were some tough moments, as I had to go back to NC. At no time did a question go without an answer, he responded by text and email within 10mins after! Absolutely spectacular service and expertise! As for savvy marketing skills, I have never before seen brochures, online virtual tours and photos do a property that much justice. My property sold within minutes of listing, and we continued to receive multiple offers above the asking price. We ultimately achieved the highest price per square foot seen in the area in the last 3 years. Throughout the process, Chad always went the extra mile to make me feel comfortable. When an evil appraiser almost thwarted the deal, Chad made sure my voice was heard, and went so far as soliciting the buyers agent to collectively contest the appraisal. Then when I questioned aspects of the inspection, Chad worked with me to understand and efficiently resolve each issue. Even after the sale, he provided copies of all pertinent data/forms on a handy USB. And finally, he knows the difference between a mean and a median, and who wouldnt love that? I could not be happier.

Almost exactly 4 years after buying our home with Chad, we recently sold that home and bought another. We had no hesitation in using Chad again, and he expertly guided us through the process on both transactions. Neither were straightforward for a variety of reasons, but Chad was excellent throughout. He helped address any number of issues and was available at all times. I've heard a lot of complaints from friends about problems getting hold of their realtor, but Chad was exactly the opposite, often following up without even being asked. Chad helped my buy my first home. I had very little knowledge of the home buying process, and Chad was very knoweldgable and patient explaining what steps are coming up. As a CPA, he was very helpful in helping me determine what I could comfortable afford, and did not try to pressure me into viewing homes outside of my comfort zone. He showed me dozens of properties during my search process and at no point in time did he try to "upsell" a home to me. He wanted to make sure that the home I selected was the right home for me, and one that I could be proud of. I couldn't have asked for a better real estate agent. Our home buying experience with Chad as our agent was painless and completely seamless. I chose Chad as our agent because of his strong knowledge of the markets we were interested in, Poway and Rancho Bernardo. I was completely clueless about who to trust as our lender and Chad gave us several recommendations. The person we chose was completely ethical, competitive, and delivered the loan package on time, as promised. No surprises. Chad set us up to review homes online that fit our profile. New listings and changes were sent to us by an email notification. That is how we found our new home. We visited 12-15 homes during this time period, most of which we did not care for. Chad was very good at asking us why we didn't like the home, trying to learn what our hot buttons were and what the deal-killers were. That way he could steer us towards more appropriate listings for our needs in the future. When it came time to offer on the home that we eventually bought, Chad gave great advice on how to approach. I am certain that he read the situation correctly and this resulted in us saving tens of thousands of dollars. Chad recommended a great inspection company, and he was there with me when the inspector verbally gave me his feedback before the report. No corners were ever cut during the process.After the closing, Chad has checked in with us several times and he recommended a trusted floor cleaner (who did a great job) and a handyman who we haven't had a chance to call yet, but we will.
