As a northern Virginia native having spent nearly all my life here, I am well aware of the underlying value and marketability of residential real estate here. Ive owned a home in Fairfax County dating to 1984. Over the course of selling / upgrading, demand was always solid; net proceeds always solid. Trustworthiness, credibility and accountability are critical attributes for any professional to have; in the real estate industry, those traits are indispensable. Joannie (as I have always called her) lives these traits each and every day, in her personal AND professional life. Joan went right to work; thoroughly evaluating my homes specific slot in the marketplace, assessing what had been upgraded and finally, suggesting some additional value-added enhancements. Two days after posting the Coming Soon sign, we had an offer that dramatically exceeded my previous target. [Thats right, the words For Sale never made it to the sign]. Joan understood the market dynamics as well as the true value of the underlying asset; the combination resulted in the highest sale price in the 48-Year history of the neighborhood.
