Karen grew up on a farm near Monticello, Iowa and Steve in Cincinnati, Ohio. We met while working at hotels in Colorado, married and chose to raise our children closer to family in Iowa.
From 1993 through 2002, we owned and operated Supper Club 528 in Cascade, Iowa. Our daughter, Hannah, was 12 months old when we took over the restaurant and our son, Elliott, was born 2 years later. The restaurant enabled us to build a successful business by providing quality food and service to our customers.
