Virginia Powell

If you spend much time in Blowing Rock, you have probably already seen Virginia. Curly, red hair. Maybe with one to four of her kids in tow. Often accompanied by her slow but sweet Bichon Frise, Jacques le Blanc. She's a small town girl from Mount Olive, North Carolina and UNC alumna. Virginia's known to frequent Camp Coffee above Footsloggers, Bistro Roca, and Bass Lake. When she is not helping people find their dream homes, Virginia tries to give back to our community by serving on the Appalachian State University Women's Club, the Girls on the Run of the High Country's Advisory Board, and the Middle Fork Greenway's Task Force. She is also active in the Blowing Rock Methodist Church during the summers and the Boone United Methodist Church during winters. Her husband Ben, is an entrepreneurship professor at Appalachian State University.
