I reached out to Kristen, one of the realtors there, on Thanksgiving and she immediately responded via email to introduce herself. She was so responsive, friendly, and efficient that it was an easy decision to go with her over someone else. Throughout the search process, she was very diligent on the values of the homes that we looked at as well as the livability of the surrounding neighborhood. She was also wonderful throughout the negotiation process and was able to very clearly forecast what would happen in negotiations. Now that we have bought a home, we still chat with her often for advice and to bounce ideas off of her. Overall, she is more than just a realtor, she is our friend, and we recommend her to anyone.

As first time homebuyers, we were very nervous and worried we were in over our heads. But Kristen and her team were extremely helpful in guiding us through the process - from helping us figure out what we were really looking for (condo vs townhome) and patiently showing us all our options, to proactively navigating an extremely competitive sellers' market, to closing on a home that met all of our wants and needs! Kristen came highly recommended by word of mouth from some good friends and still managed to exceed our expectations by all accounts. We had just moved cross-country for work and, even though we had been actively looking for a house back in Los Angeles, had little sense of the local market in Northern Virginia. Kristen not only did a great job educating us on the nuts and bolts (e.g., whether a listing was a good value buy) but also on some of the nuances that helped our final offer stick (e.g., she opened our eyes to the difference that having a local vs. national lender could be make). Before long she helped us zero in on the neighborhood for us, but the housing inventory (and turnover) was limited (especially at the time of year we were looking). While she managed our expectations, she was also very proactive in trying to get us the house of our dreams. After a couple unsuccessful offers, she even took the initiative to canvass the neighborhood for potential sellers of properties that might meet our criteria. Kristen has mastered the art of being persistent without being pushy. In many cases we were the first people to see a new listing (often before it was even listed). Each time she got a better sense of what was important to us and we began to understand that her mission was to get us into a home and that she would not be deterred. Ultimately, she got us a private tour of the house that would become our home (we went back for the open house too). This one checked every box on our wish list (and then some), but seemed a bit out of reach (both in terms of price and the number of competing offers). This is where Kristen really showed her value. She helped us craft the perfect offer (including timing and contingencies based on her conversations with seller's agent) and socialized a purchase price that was well below market, explaining how our family story connected to the current owners and conveying how serious we were (despite the low number). With some finesse to get to the right number and a little luck, we were finally able to close on our house and move out of the in-laws' spare bedroom. Her network of professional contacts was also instrumental. All of the third-parties she put us in touch with also delivered, from the home inspector (who came out the very next day to keep our tight closing timeline) to the local lender we eventually chose (whose interest rate was significantly lower than the national lenders we were working with). True to form, Kristen went above and beyond on the closing day to make sure all of the parties and all of the paperwork made it to the signing and then the title/insurance company despite inclement weather (snow storm). A couple months later, we could not be more happier with our decision. It is in the perfect location and a place where we see ourselves putting down roots for a long time to come. In fact, my parents are now considering following us to the area (to be near the grandkids). You can probably guess who will be helping them with their new search. Kristen has our highest endorsement. Give her a chance to put you in a new home and you will not be disappointed

Kristen recently helped my husband and me sell our condo and to say she made the entire experience a less stressful one would be a drastic understatement. She knew the market and was able to guide us through the process while also managing our expectations - if there was ever anything we were unclear on, she was always able to provide clarification.
