Radha Rustagi

We had a very unpleasant experience working with Radha recently. She was incompetent and made a quick buck from us. She absolutely did not care to provide her best service or do a thorough job for us. We would not recommend her to anyone. She had done a relatively good job when we first worked together back in 2012. We decided to work with her again to upgrade to a bigger home last year. After seeing a few homes, we saw one that was priced enticingly low. She wasn’t able to see the home with us. Here are some things she did quite poorly. She didn’t advise us properly on the offer. Another agent that I had asked for a recommendation from asked us to bid a lot lower and then let the negotiation process take it higher. We trusted Radha's price over the other agent to get the house. She suggested a price just 20k less than what we offered and the final offer made us the largest bidder by quite a distance She failed to point out the flaws in the house like background noise, remodeling required and several other challenges. She did not ask us to wait for better houses and could not read the market properly. In fact, there was another house at the same time that would have been perfect for us but she did not ask us see that first before making an offer. After the purchase, we had some concerns that required us to find the owner of the adjoining property. She made no effort to help us out. Another realtor, though we had not signed any agreement to work with her, went above and beyond to do so. With the market dropping and the stock market not doing so well, we panicked a bit, did not realize how unprofessional Radha was and went with her to sell our first house. At that point she promised us to flip up our new house for a discount. Here again, she poorly with the sale of our new house. She could not get enough buyers through the door. She did not work with us closely to come up with a strategy to get a better price in a slow market. Infact, other than decorating the house, she did nothing. She did not pickup or return our calls on time and kept us waiting and panicking when our house was on sale. She sounded frustrated and wasn't helpful at all. In the past few years, on multiple occasions, she had encouraged us to sell the first home and take money out of it which is always not a good idea in the Bay Area with property taxes being so high. Her callousness has affected our peace. We trusted her to do a good job for us. She betrayed our trust in her. She pocketed close to $70,000 from us while making sub-optimal decisions and causing us huge disappointment. We thought about this for a long time before deciding to write this review. We met a lot of real estate agents recently and realized that there are much better (more honest, efficient and well informed) real estate agents out there. We would definitely not recommend her to anyone.
